Nacque semplice locanda, per i pellegrini che si ristoravano sotto le querce del Lia e con la birra tenuta al fresco nell'acqua del torrente. E per i viaggiatori dell'entroterra veneto divenne una leggenda all'insegna dei gamberi rossi, tuttora inimitabili, cucinati, in origine proprio con la birra. Il nome "Gambrinus"? Lo suggerì un eremita gastronomo nel 1847. E così fu. Nel 2003, accanto al ristorante, ha riaperto anche l'antica locanda, con sei meravigliose camere e suite.
 
Born as a very modest inn where pilgrims would rest under the shade of the oak trees and drink beer cooled in the waters of the stream. In later years, it became a well-known restaurant, famous for its "gamberi" (crawfish) cooked in beer. In 1847, a gastronomic hermit gave it the name of Gambrinus. In 2003, the ancient inn next to the restaurant was reopened, with six magnificent rooms and suites.
