Nell'Ottocento, era osteria con alloggio e stallazzo in mezzo ai pioppi, da cui il nome "pobbia". Dal 1906, diventò anche golosa fermata e biglietteria della tramvia a vapore Milano-Gallarate. Oggi elegante ristorante, guidato dalla terza generazione della stessa famiglia, ha mantenuto la struttura originale con l'ampio giardino interno e le ricette della tradizione, tra risotti, pasta fresca, "rostisciada" e arrosti. Il libro delle firme raccoglie i nomi più belli dello spettacolo, della scienza e della moda di un secolo.

In the 19th century, it was an inn with lodgings and stalls out among the poplars _ from which it took its name: 'pobbia'. In 1906, it also became a gourmet stopping place and ticket office for the Milano-Gallarate steam-tram. Now an elegant restaurant run by the third generation of the same family, it has maintained its original structure with its large internal garden and continues to serve traditional recipes with risottos, fresh pasta, 'rostisciada' and roasts. The guest book contains a century's worth of great names in entertainment, science and fashion.
