Segreto luogo d'iniziazione dei massoni Rosacroce a fine Ottocento, piccola culla del pensiero libertario del Giglio per decenni. Sotto le caratteristiche volte dell'antica "buca", un tempo sacrestia del Battistero, sono scesi i grandi del mondo. Storici l'addio al celibato del principe di Bulgaria negli anni '30 e la sosta del presidente americano John Kennedy.

At the end of the nineteenth century this restaurant was a secret meeting place for the initiation of the Rosacroce masons. Many important people descended the steps of the "Buca", once the sacristy of the Battistero, to enjoy the Florentine cuisine. The bachelor party of the Prince of Bulgaria in the thirties and in later years the visit of President John Kennedy are still remembered.
