Paparazzi, star di Hollywood e donne da favola si affrontavano davanti all'Excelsior. Simbolo della Dolce vita anni Sessanta, consumata su via Veneto alla luce dei flash, questo splendido contenitore Belle Epoque era già amato dai divi di Cinecittà nel 1936. Ambitissimo anche dai re, come Faruk e Reza Palevi, che scendevano qui con il seguito.
 
The Rome Excelsior became famous world-wide with the advent of the "paparazzi" because this is where Fellini's "Dolce Vita" of the sixties was born. In the thirties, this Belle Epoque Hotel was already a favourite of the Hollywood stars - the Beautiful People. It also attracted King Farouk and the Shah of Iran who sojourned here at length with their entourages.
