«Se fai la brava, ti porto al Diana» dicevano a inizio secolo alle ragazze di buona famiglia. Perché era l'albergo delle grandi feste, delle sfilate d'alta moda, degli artisti in tournée al Teatro Diana. Vergani vi fondò l'Accademia Italiana della Cucina; generazioni di industriali sono scese qui per la Fiera Campionaria, ch'era lì di fronte. Finemente restaurato, possiede uno dei più bei giardini-restaurant di Milano.

«If you are a good girl, I'll take you to the Diana» that is what they used to say to daughters of well-off families at the beginning of the century. That was the hotel of grand receptions, parties and fashion shows, of artists on tournée at Teatro Diana. Writer Vergani founded there the Italian Academy of Cooking. Generations of manufacturers put up the hotel on occasion of the Trade Fair, which used to be in front. Finely restored, it has got one of the most beautiful restaurant-gardens in Milan.
