The hotel and particularly its splendid restaurant and wine-cellar, maintains intact furniture and style of the years when Rome became capital city. The hotel has accommodated historical people such as King Peter I of Serbia, General Diaz and composer Pietro Mascagni. The same family has been managing the hotel for five generations.
