Ha reso Bressanone famosa nel mondo. Un giorno, sfinito per la salita, un enorme elefante dovette sostare nella stalla della locanda. Era il regalo del re del Portogallo Joao III a Ferdinando d'Austria, che proseguì poi verso Vienna. E nacque la leggenda. Splendido e romantico, con 45 camere tutte antiquariato prezioso è anche golosamente storico con l'"Elefantenplatte".

he Elefante put Bressanone on the map! According to the legend, the King of Portugal, Joao III, sent an elephant as a gift to Ferdinand of Austria. The elephant was not used to climbing and a break in the long journey was called for - the stopover took place in the stables of the inn which became known as the Elefante. Charmingly romantic, its 45 rooms are decorated with antiques.
