Pochi lo sanno. Il Quirinale e l'adiacente Teatro dell'Opera sono collegati da un passaggio interno. Per questo illustri maestri come Mascagni, Puccini, Verdi, lo scelsero durante le loro celebri tournée. E una grande targa ricorda che proprio Verdi, alle finestre dell'albergo, fu acclamato dai romani dopo la prima del Falstaff, nel 1893.
 
The Quirinale Hotel is adjacent to the Opera House but very few know there is a passageway connecting the two buildings. This is one of the reasons why the great Maestros - Mascagni, Puccini and Verdi - chose to stay here when they were on tour. A big sign commemorates Verdi's visit in 1893 when he was acclaimed by the Romans who gathered in throngs under the window of his hotel room after the opening night of his "Falstaff".
