Lussuoso complesso Liberty sul mare, nel 1908 lanciò il primo Casinò in Italia. Qui, nel 1914, venne girato uno dei primi film in esterno, "Battesimo di nave". Nel 1917, fu sede del Convegno di Rapallo, col quale gli alleati dell'Intesa cercarono una comune strategia dopo la disfatta di Caporetto: ne nacque il Consiglio supremo della Guerra, che si riunì poi a Versailles insieme agli Stati Uniti. Tra gli ospiti illustri, Eleonora Duse, il Duca di Windsor con Wally Simpson, Re Farouk, Hussein di Giordania, Costantino di Grecia, Rita Hayworth, Hemingway e Marconi.
 
A luxurious Art Nouveau complex by the sea, and Italy's firsts casino in 1908. It was here that one of the first films shot outdoors, the 'Battesimo di Nave' was made. In 1917, it hosted the Rapallo Convention, in which the allies of the Entente attempted to draft a common strategy after the defeat at Caporetto: this led to the creation of the Supreme War Council, which then met at Versailles together with the United States. Guests have included Eleonora Duse, the Duke of Windsor with Wally Simpson, King Farouk, Hussein of Jordan, Constantine of Greece, Rita Hayworth, Hemingway and Marconi.
