De Bono e altri membri del Gran Consiglio scesero qui nel 1943, durante la fuga verso Salò, memori dei bei tempi, quando gerarchi, attori, politici, d'estate popolavano il Des Bains per essere vicini a Mussolini. Negli anni Sessanta, riunì tutta l'Italia del boom, industriali, costruttori, artisti. Oggi è meta dell'élite in vacanza.

In 1943, during the Republic of Salò, many high-ranking Fascists took refuge in this magnificent hotel where, in the past, they had spent happy days in the company of their leader, Mussolini.
