Splendido palazzo senese voluto da papa Alessandro VII nel 1600 per la nobile famiglia Gori, divenne albergo di lusso a inizio Novecento. Meta del turismo internazionale di alta classe, ospitò più volte re Umberto I e la Regina Margherita intorno al 1920. Riportato agli splendori delle origini, conserva stupendi affreschi e decorazioni settecenteschi e un salone delle feste da favola che ne fanno un patrimonio culturale della città.
 
A splendid Sienese edifice built by Pope Alexander VII in 1600 for the aristocratic Gori family, it became a luxury hotel in the early 20th century. The venue for the cream of international tourism, King Humbert I and Queen Margherita came here a number of times in the years around 1920. A monument to the cultural heritage of Siena, it has been restored to all its original splendour and houses superb 18th-century frescoes and decorations, as well as fairly-tale reception hall.
