Durante l'occupazione austriaca era il preferito dai militari e civili tedeschi, tanto da essere ribattezzato "Kaffeehaus". Stupendamente affrescato, confortevole e lussuoso, offre una ristorazione di alto livello.
 
Situated on the Piazza San Marco. Lord Byron, John Ruskin, Wagner, Dumas and Proust all spent long hours sitting at the tables of this cafè, watching the world go by. During the Austrian occupation, it became the number one choice for the military and, as such, it was referred to as "Kaffeehaus". The stupendously frescoed dining-room offers a fine menu to please the most discriminating palate.
