Quand'era Ristorante Biaggi, Giuseppe Mazzini complottò qui contro Carlo Alberto e forse vi fondò la "Giovane Italia"; Carlo Cattaneo vi trovò rifugio dopo l'insurrezione di Milano. Divenuto Ristorante Bianchi, il 3 marzo del 1945, il barone Parrilli, nella sala Cenacolo, convinse il colonnello Dollmann a far arrendere le SS agli americani, evitando che si ritirassero dall'Italia con la terribile operazione "Terra bruciata". Salotto elegante della città, ha ospitato il principe Vittorio Emanuele, l'Aga Khan, Clark Gable e Sofia Loren.

When it was still the Ristorante Biaggi, Giuseppe Mazzini plotted against Carlo Alberto and may well have founded his 'Giovane Italia' here. Carlo Cattaneo took refuge here after the Milan insurrection. On 3 March 1945, when it had become the Ristorante Bianchi, Baron Parrilli convinced the German Colonel Dollmann to make the 'SS' surrender to the Americans, preventing them from retreating from Italy with a terrible "scorched earth" operation. The city's elegant drawing room, guests have included King Victor Emmanuel, the Aga Khan, Clark Gable and Sofia Loren.
