Incastonato in un bel palazzo sulla piazza centrale, nacque come "Società del Casino", circolo culturale secondo la moda d'epoca dei caffè francesi e due suoi membri ordirono contro Napoleone nel 1808. Nel 1839 ebbe "licenza politica" di caffetteria. Conserva ingresso, ambienti, sedute a muro e tavolini originali. Ha scandito la storia di Asolo, con illustri frequentatori come Carducci, D'Annunzio e la Duse, Robert Browning, Ernest Hemingway, Henry James, Hugo von Hofmansthal, Arnold Schoemberg.

In a beautiful building on the main square, it was originally the 'Società del Casino', a cultural club that adopted the fashion for French cafés, and two of its members plotted against Napoleon in 1808. In 1839 it was granted a 'political licence' as a café. The entrance, rooms, wall seating and tables have never changed.
