Un'oasi ferma nel tempo l'isoletta su cui sorge l'elegante locanda, nata come osteria-esattoria quando il Senato della Serenissima fece costruire le Porte del Cavallino, punto cruciale per l'ingresso di barche e zattere in Venezia con i loro preziosi carichi. è ancora visibile la lapide, del 23 luglio 1632, con le tariffe dei dazi. Negli antichi documenti le vicende della locanda, che ancora nel XX secolo ospitava i viaggiatori. Sette lussuose camere e un ristorante esclusivo per una sosta nella storia.

On timeless island paradise, the elegant Locanda was originally a tax office and inn, when the Senate of the Serenissima ordered the construction of the Cavallino gates where boats and barges carrying precious cargos entered Venice. The plaque with customs rates, dated 23 July 1632, can still be seen. Ancient documents tells the story of the inn, which still took in travellers in the twentieth century. Seven luxurious rooms and an exclusive restaurant for a stopover in history.
